Now, naturally, you can make a difference with the kind of car you drive as well. How? By purchasing a hybrid vehicle, of course. Where once it seemed like the Prius was the only hybrid car available, these days pretty much every auto manufacturer has at least one hybrid on the market.

You may not be willing to go quite this far to save the environment, in spite of the fact that hybrid vehicles are not nearly as expensive as they were when they first emerged on the market.

However, you can also save money on car insurance by driving a hybrid vehicle. A number of car insurance companies offer discounts when you make the switch to a hybrid car, in an effort to prove that they, too, care about the environment and are trying to offer incentives so that we care, too.
