Sometimes, you have to do more than just comparison shop to find a good deal on car insurance rates. Every driver I know has, at one time or another, complained and moaned about their rates and premiums. That is natural, but after you get done venting, why not get out there and change what you can, so you can get a better deal? Because at the end of the day, only you are responsible for what you pay.

For instance, people who are married pay less than people who are single — so go tie the knot already!

Where you live can make a huge difference as well. Now, it might not be worth it to move, but if you do have to relocate at some point, do some research. If you can choose a low traffic area over a congested and/or high risk area, go for it — you’ll pay less.
