new-years-resolution-road-trips-07All right, so we have talked about when you should be leaving and how much time you should be leaving, let’s talk about what you should be packing when you are traveling.  One thing that you need to make sure that you do before you even think about getting on the road is making sure that your car is all checked.  That includes getting a tune up, oil changed and of course making sure that your tires are okay.

This will save you from getting stranded on the road.  Next, you always want to make sure that you pack an emergency road kit with you – that way, if you get into an accident, you will be able to record everything.  This should include a shovel, flashlight, flares and pen and paper.

Finally, always make sure that you have your insurance card on you, as that is something that you are definitely going to need.
