When you are dealing with car insurance – it is really tough to usually find deals, however did you know that there are a million different ways that you can actually save on car insurance without having to scour for deals?  That is what we are going to talk about in the next few blogs – don’t go anywhere!

First and foremost, do you have an older car?  If you do, why do you still have full coverage on it?  That is a waste, if you have an older car, go ahead and drop that on down to collision and I can seriously tell you that it will save you a bunch of money on your car insurance.

car-insuranceNow that we have talked a little bit about filing a claim for your car insurance, let’s talk about why you shouldn’t file a claim for something as small as running over a nail.  To be perfectly honest – car insurance companies look for any way in the world that they can jack up your car insurance premium and if you are constantly filing claims … they are going to consider you a risky driver and jack up your car insurance premium.

Usually, you are allowed one grace period so that you can file one claim without getting dinged but if you do file more than that – I can honestly say that your car insurance company is going to jack up those premiums on you, so beware!

If you have to file a claim … do so for the big stuff like a car accident and don’t sweat the small stuff.
