je-design-seat-leonCar insurance in this day and age is very easy to locate – however, if you have a modified car, it might be slightly different.  Modified cars definitely have a harder time finding car insurance simply because if they do get broken into or crashed, no car insurance company really wants to pay for all of those modifications.  If you have a modified car and are looking for car insurance, you should definitely prepare yourself for a very high premium.

Having a modified car is absolutely one of the coolest things in the world, however, when you think of it in terms of cost, it really might not be worth all of that.  After all, you are paying for all of the modifications on the car itself, you are paying for the car itself and then you are paying for the very high premium on your car insurance – it just seems like a lot.

However, if you are a car buff, it might be worth it to you.  Just make sure that you do your research so you can absolutely be sure that you are getting the best deal possible!

We all know that the gas prices lately have been slowly but surely creeping their way back up and while you might not want to admit it – you are probably looking for other ways to cut corners right?  Well, if you are in the market for a new car … because face it, this is the time to buy a car, there are a few tips and tricks that you can keep in mind so you can keep your car insurance premiums at a minimum.

First and foremost, you do not want to buy a big and flashy car.  That will only make you pay a higher premium, so make sure that you buy a car that is just right for you and not go by the looks of it.  Even if you might be tempted because of the lower prices, you will definitely have a hard time keeping your car insurance low if you go with a flashy car.

Next, make sure that you keep your driving record clean.  Having little or no traffic violations at all actually makes you a very safe driver and therefore you will be able to get more discounts!

Looking for car insurance is something that is extremely difficult for the simple fact that it is difficult to understand!  To be honest, whenever I switch car insurance companies I make my car insurance agent sit down and go over everything with me versus just signing my life away and to be quite frank, that has saved me on more than one occasion.  Just signing away a piece of paper stating that you are going to pay your car insurance every single month is something that you should never do!

In essence, car insurance companies are almost like lawyers in the way that they put in a lot of fine print and expect you to sign it without reading it.  You definitely want to make sure that you read everything that you sign – that way you know what you are covered for and what you aren’t.

Knowing before you sign is something that everything should do – that way you really do know what you might have to pay if you are in a car accident!
